As a Special Needs School Health Assistant at PSI, you will:

• Provide one-on-one care to medically fragile students in their classroom and potentially during transportation to and from school.

• Assess children's health needs independently, creating health plans to meet the functional and medical requirements of each child.

• Administer medications, first aid services, and other medical interventions according to school district and PSI policies.

• Maintain detailed health records and complete necessary documentation in compliance with regulations.

• Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to promote student health and wellness.

• Partner with families to help navigate health challenges and provide a safe, supportive environment for students with developmental and health challenges.

What We're Looking For:

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program (required).

• Experience working with medically fragile children is strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of communicable disease prevention, medication protocols, and basic healthcare practices.

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

• Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work as part of a team.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
